‘YWATER supports the Sustainable Development Goals’
YWater champions youth engagement in driving sustainable water and sanitation solutions for India. We offer a digital platform, complemented by smart learning tools to build awareness and momentum towards the achievement of SDG 6, with a focus on supporting and strengthening the participation of local communities in water and sanitation management.
We are a team of young professionals who are passionate about water and sanitation. In our varied personal and professional experiences, we found that traditional civic engagement in water and sanitation has excluded the youth. Given these issues are at the core of sustainable development, we hope to build further awareness about the space, and also the direct impact it will have on the lives of the youth.
We seek to build an ecosystem to support youth-led water and sanitation initiatives, be it through awareness building, advocacy, data transparency, interactive workshops or mentorship programs. Through our work, we hope to drive an action-oriented, bottom-up approach to water and sanitation resource management within communities, placing the next generation at the forefront of this movement.
